Amsterdamaged Paranormal Romance Trilogy: Read Them All

I'm so excited to bring the full Amsterdamaged series to the world. If you're a sucker for paranormal romance and forbidden love in a cool, unique urban setting, this could be your next read.

I got sucked deep into this, my friends. I went down deep into the belly of Amsterdam with all its myths and legends, from witches on the dunes to sirens swimming through the canal system.

Nothing in the Netherlands was safe from the darkness threatening to consume anyone who crossed our villain's path.

But it's the romance interwoven through it all that I'm most excited about. Who knows why we fall for fangs, but we do, every single time!

Here's an excerpt from Book 3, Lars's story:

Lars Van der Meer is filling the chair opposite me, looking ridiculously good in a black jacket over a dark henley. His jaw is set in that perpetual bracing expression of his, that tells me his mind is a whirling pool of thoughts despite his irritating propensity for silence.

"How did you find me?" I pull my headphones off. "I didn't tell anyone where I was going."

"Your scent." He meets my eyes and I can sense him holding back his anger. A urge to shift, again?

I stare at him. "Only a shifter would be able to sniff someone out like that," I challenge.

He leans forward, pressing his forearms to the table. His voice drops to a register that makes the barista glance over at us a little nervously. "If you go near those tunnels again, you'll die, Sofie. That's not a threat. It's a fact. What lives down there would tear you apart before you even had time to scream.”

I swallow a lump in my throat. I have never heard him this serious. But I straighten my back, and level with his gaze. "You're trying to scare me."

"I'm trying to keep you alive. There's a difference."

"Or maybe you’re controlling the narrative by controlling the narrator. You can't wipe my memory, so you're trying intimidation instead. I know what you are."

Something raw appears behind his eyes that makes my throat close for a second. "You think I'm here to intimidate you?"

I lean closer. "I think you're here because your brothers sent you. I think they identified me as a security risk and you drew the short straw because you're the one who does the dirty work." I hold his gaze. "I've done my research, Lars. I know how your family operates."

The silence that follows is heavy enough to bend the table. I don’t know half as much as I want him to think I know. But the growl from the recording… I can still hear it. I can feel it, and I know it’s linked to him somehow.

The barista retreats to the back room, leaving us alone.

"I didn't draw the short straw,” he says darkly. “No one sent me. Lukas ordered me to stay away from you, actually. But I can't stay away from you, Sofie. And that should terrify you more than anything in those tunnels."

I open my mouth. Then I close it again because what the hell am I supposed to say to that?

He stands up and drops a twenty-euro note on the table for my coffee, which is far too much, but then he’s filthy rich so I guess this is pocket change.

"I'll walk you home."

"I don't need… I have my bike."

"I'll walk you home, Sofie."

The way he says my name… I can’t actually handle it. It’s like he's pressing it into something permanent. Like the two syllables are a spell he's casting on himself, not me.

Okay, maybe me, a little bit.

I pack up my laptop and we walk into the night.
